Word from the Rector
Grace Episcopal Church has always been a parish committed to a bold vision for serving the city of Georgetown. Through our nearly 150 years as a parish, we have adapted, moved, built, and grown along with our growing city. We have adapted to the needs of Georgetown while still remaining true to our calling: to be an Episcopal church that exists to know Christ and make him known.
Since 2009 we have had a West campus in the northwest part of Georgetown, an area of rapid growth. We first began worshipping at Grace West in a spot just behind a café, and for about a decade we have been worshipping in a rented storefront at Williams and D.B. Wood: nestled between a jujitsu gym and a dog groomer. We believe that God is calling us to adapt again by building a permanent home for our West campus.
Through the generous support of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, we have 17 acres of beautiful undeveloped land in a prime location at the corner of
Ronald Reagan and 245. On this land we are working to build a church to serve West Georgetown for generations to come. We are working to build a church that is beautiful, hospitable, and a beacon of Christ’s love. Our history as a parish has been a testament to the immeasurable riches of God’s grace in Christ Jesus. In our capital campaign, Grace Beyond Measure, we are working to extend the grace we have received. You are invited to be a part of this historic moment in our church’s history.
How are we going to do this huge achievement? We need a whole lot of prayer and your support. As part of our campaign, every member of the parish will be invited to participate and hear more about what we believe God is calling us to do.
